WORKING CLOSE UP
Jake's working this boar hog from the front, and the leopard's are holding him from the back.

Jake's being too brave.
A good hog dog gets HOT when it sees a hog, whether it hates a hog, or whether it just has a gut drive to dominate them.

Either way, you want a dog that will not leave the hog.
Mouse, the leopard dog, is catching her breath. Look at how big her tongue is.

Since dogs don't sweat (except on their feet), they depend on air-cooling the blood flowing through their tongues, ears, skin, and lungs. That's why dogs pant.

More blood brought to these surfaces means more cooling, so the tongue is big because of the increased blood in it.
