RED DEER FAWNS AND HINDS
Two red deer hinds and a fawn. The hind on the left could be mom's yearling.
This fawn has almost lost it's spots, and is still nursing. Fawns with no spots will still nurse as much as their mother will let them.
Like the fawn on the previous page, this one is also following his mother's gaze, mirroring her every watchful look.
Fawns this age still spend time hiding, "parked" in the woods by thier mom.
A close up of this handsome youngster.
The hind caught sight of the motion I'd made adjusting my zoom.
She's becoming alarmed. She probably heard my camera click too.
Here's a close up of her wary face.

She jogs off and baby wastes no time following.
